Losing Inches By Increasing Calories?

In many cases, women have been under eating for a long time, hoping that this will help them to lose weight. Unfortunately, this usually ends with weight gain not loss because the body is in a survival mode. I have worked with many clients like this, and together we have increased their metabolism to the point where it now burns more calories without adding weight.

Previously, she had been eating 1200 calories. She then increased to 1600 on her own, and then 1950 calories together. We also added structured weight lifting program.

 

This client went from eating 1550 calories, to 2300 calories. She has built a lot more strength and her cravings are gone.
Previously, she had done extended fasts and lots of cardio. We increased her calories to 1900 and later up to 2600. Results are in!

Losing Weight With Calorie Deficit

When a person is healthy and has been eating close to their maintenance calories or higher, the approach we take is calorie deficit. Here are some examples of that.

Before, she was eating intuitively but her physique didn't change.
Now, she's tracking macros, keeping her protein high, and has lost a lot of inches.

 

She had always been eating healthy, but it wasn't until she started tracking that her physique started to change.
This woman didn't have a weight problem, but her body composition changed noticeably when we got her macros right and switched some of her running for weight lifting.
