The most amazing thing about being a coach is, hands down, seeing my clients grow. Every time I get off the phone with them I'm amazed by how big steps they're taking toward improving their relationship with food!
Here are some examples from one of my clients from last month:
⚡️She had not tracked her calories for 5 days is a row and guess what — she didn't feel “out of control”, she felt FREE. Prior that, she had been counting and tracking for over a decade! Tracking and counting are not necessary. You will still take care of your health, and even better care because now you're becoming really intuitive about what and how much you eat.
⚡️Her grocery bills went down because she no longer had to buy separate things for herself and for the rest of the family. This is a big win. Again, there are so many other ways you probably want to spend your money than buying separate groceries for family members.
⚡️She saved time because she no longer needed to make separate meals for herself and her family. No one has too much time in their hands, so more time is always welcome!
⚡️Because she's cooking the same meals for everyone in the family, she has a lot less dishes to do! No one likes doing dishes.
⚡️She has more time because she's saving about an hour a day that she used to spend weighing, logging and tracking (4 meals, about 15 mins each time) One hour!! You can do a lot of things with this time. I asked her what she's going to do with this extra time and she said: I would really like to explore more of the outdoors with my daughter this summer. That's a great goal, isn't it? How would you spend your time: Tracking macros or making memories with loved ones?
Change Is Scary But You Need It
Was it scary for her to let go of tracking? For sure. If you've done something for years, of course it's scary to change it. It was hard for her too but she needed to trust.
We all used to trust our bodies before we got on our first diet and turned everything upside down. The good news is that we can learn to trust again. If we knew it once we can learn it again!
I love to see my clients grow and live fuller lives because they no longer spend it obsessing over food. And this freedom is available to you too if you're only brave enough to try it out.
