How Food Obsession Can Rob Your Memory!

February 22, 2020 by Kersten Kimura Leave a Comment

I literally don't remember what I did between ages 21-26.

It's true…

I've just shared a video on that if you'd like to check it out!

Well, to be exact, I don't remember doing anything fun, but I do remember my routine that I *thought* I have to stick with forever. This was my routine:

✔️got up
✔️brushed my teeth
✔️headed out for a 10-20K run (without even drinking water before or during my run)
✔️peed and sometimes💩if I was lucky and not constipated which was rare
✔️showered
✔️got on a scale, felt excited or mortified based on what it showed
✔️ate a 300-cal oatmeal with a teaspoon of low-cal jam
✔️headed to work that I didn't like
✔️ate spaghetti with tuna in water and a salad for lunch, day after day – spaghetti because Weight Watchers said you can have as much as you want for 4points😆
✔️was constantly hungry & miserable ✔️was super passive-aggressive with my ex

I Repeated This Every Single Day

REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT, every day, other than vacations where I, well, worked out more and actually ate out.

I Had Very Little Fun

What I never did, or did very rarely:

🔘took a rest day
🔘ate out
🔘hung out with someone – I was alone most of the time and not that, also very lonely
🔘went anywhere – and I lived in a great city!
🔘read because I literally couldn't focus, and because no one was burning calories when I was reading, right
🔘did anything different in the weekend

No 21 year old person's life should look like this. Or 31, or 41, or 51 year old person's. It was just miserable.

What Does Your Life Look Like?

Maybe your life doesn't look exactly like mine did, but you may have your own routine that you're terrified to change but at the same, also really want to.

Here's What Your Life Could Look Like…

Wouldn't it be fun to…
✅go out with friends and stay for a spontaneous lunch, without rushing home to eat our “safe foods”?
✅order what we like from the menu?
✅not have those fights with our partners caused by our bitterness and constant hanger?
✅sleep in when we're tired, and not feel guilty about it?
✅feel confident and worthy even if we didn't work out, or even ate a piece of cake?
