About two weeks ago I bought a package of coconut flour with a big plan to make pancakes in the near future. I love everything and anything with coconut and since I’m avoiding regular flour for most of the time, coconut flour is a great substitute for it. First, it’s healthier and second, much tastier.
However, it took me a while before I actually made those pancakes on Saturday morning. But first, to start off the day, I ate a banana and then headed out for a short ‘n sweet running workout:
That was a good one! I could definitely feel it in my legs. High intensity training like this is a great calorie and fat burner, so you should check it out if you are pressed in time but want to get in a good fat burning workout.
Sprints are really good for you. Even if you don’t like long distance running, we all should incorporate sprints here and there in our workouts. I write more about the benefits of sprinting here.
In this particular workout I recommend you not to take too long rests between the sprints – a light jog or walk back to the starting like should be enough to lower your heart rate enough to be ready for the next sprint. However, if that’s not enough, rest as needed, but try not to stop completely between the sprints.
Then, it was pancake time!
I used the recipe from here but made some slight changes to it. Here’s my version on coconut pancakes that turned out really well. They were also very filling and were sitting in my stomach like rock even hours later.
